Clive Cussler is one of the person who will understand the importance of putting Casino Royale and mission Impossible together . His story is a mixture of at the end rescue and suspense with a blend of new cutting edge invention. His two greatest Character Dirk Pitt and Kurt Austin are Characters who after you read two or 3 books of his will understand that they are invincible at any given situation. While reading the appearance or presence of Dirk Pitt or Kurt Austin (two different character who appear in two different sets of novels ) makes one feel safe and comfortable.
The stories are mostly related to Historical Alterance, like what if The Tsar's family got kidnapped instead of getting murdered, what is Abraham Lincoln got Kidnapped instead of murdered and were found in the middle of the Sahara desert .
Till now i read Mayday, Fire Ice and Inca Gold of his collections.
i most probably will read Cyclops ,Night Probe and Sahara Next
DIRK PITT - Dirk Pitt is a fictional Character , he and his companion Giordino work together in an organization called NUMA (National Underwater Marine Agency ) . Their Job Doesn't never involve any sort of criminal chasing however the reason they always end up running behind some idiot freak of nature is either because someone would give a call for help or some joint work with some other organization. He dirk Pitt travels with always two of his closet things ,his 42 mm caliber gun given by his dad and his close friend and companion Giordino , Dirk Pitt doesn't have an wife however like James Bond gets a new girlfriend every novel. Anyway Clive's charm is not relationship but adventure and that is what begins his novels and ends them. Dirk Pitt has an always an extra sets of facts which is nether revealed to readers nor is any hint given of his understanding, latter his action will speak out the facts ,his action ,style of doing things and the suspense of the scene is overwhelming. Even though Clive Cussler will provide an logic for his actions you still will get the feeling that it is too not so obvious as it won't be possible to figure out the problem so easily. Dirk Pitt sometimes does work that is too impossible for example following an band of terrorist through the dense of forest of South America - a forest that is completely unknown to an underwater diver- the terrorist left his to rot in an underwater hole which took him till the evening to get out of while getting no fatigue himself. I don't know about the other reader however but i felt the thing was too unorthodox.
KURT AUSTIN - First look at Kurt Austin makes you feel as an carbon copy of Dirk Pitt however Kurt Austin is many ways same but in hundred ways different than Dirk Pitt. Kurt Austin is less of a fighter and more of a survivor. Although both characters are survivors Kurt is more experienced and older than Dirk Pitt. Kurt served as a Cold War fighter and took command under Sandecker only Due to action. Kurt however Does a critical research of the situation he has been through and find out what could have gone wrong and why such occurance did not happen taking the most obvious alternatives to a situation. Unlike Dirk who celebrates after every action filled death decision scene and never thinks about it. However Kurt Austin has a team which consists of four poeple one Kurt himself , Joe and the Trouts who are couples.
Kurt's Novels has a "end of the world situation" while Dirk is mostly treasure hunts or finding kidnapped people. I read only an few of Kurt Austin novels so cannot comment further.

This Site is mine where i talk of Novels. It Takes me 2 weeks (14 days) to read a novel. so every 14 day I would post a review of the book i read. I won't provide a synopsis of the novel of course but i will however provide my coomets ofn the book how the story begins. how the action parts are played , what sort of technology and inventions are used.
